Botanical Garden of the George Emil Palade University of Medicine, Pharmacy, Science, and Technology of Târgu Mureș

The Botanical Garden is a very special place, because here it is acclimatized in a natural system over 1000 species of plants from all around the world. It is divided into four important sectors that were established in two stages: in the first stage (1908) was arranged the Dendrological Park and the Greenhouse, and in the second stage (1948) the Systematic Sector and the Medicinal Plants Sector.

FOUR IMPORTANT SECTORS

SECTORS

Dendrological Park

Located in front of the central building of the University and in its surroundings, it has an area of approximately 5 ha.

Systematic
Sector

The systematic sector is, from a scientific and didactic point of view, a real school for training students.

Medicinal Plants Sector

It has an area of 0.33 ha and is one of the largest medicinal gardens in Europe.

Greenhouses

In the Botanical Garden there are two production greenhouses with an area of approximately 300 m2.
